Sean Lowder

After graduating from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a B.Sc. in Nuclear Science and Engineering, Sean commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy. During his five years in the Navy, Sean held various roles as an engineer and project manager at Naval Reactors, the organization responsible for providing militarily effective nuclear propulsion plants and ensuring their safe, reliable, and long-lived operation. In his most recent role, he was the lead manufacturing engineer for the COLUMBIA class reactor core, a role in which he was responsible for managing all aspects of the development and production contracts related to the core’s on-time delivery. Sean enjoys solving complex technical problems and is committed to thoroughly assessing and analyzing opportunities to create unique clean energy solutions. In addition to holding a M.Sc. in Engineering Sciences from Naval Postgraduate School, Sean is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia and a certified Project Management Professional.
