Jon Fischer

Jon Fischer is the Transmission Strategy and Transaction Director at Creative Renewable Solutions LLC. Jon is a 30-year energy industry veteran who most recently was Managing Director for Transmission at Avangrid Renewables in Portland, OR. In that long-held role, Jon developed transmission strategies for Avangrid, including building one of the largest transmission portfolios of any renewable developer in the U.S. He also managed Avangrid’s team of interconnection specialists and developed interconnection strategy. During Jon’s tenure leading Avangrid’s transmission team, the company grew into one of the premier renewable developers in the country, with over 7 GW of projects developed and operating, and Avangrid became widely recognized as a leader among renewable energy companies in developing and implementing transmission portfolio strategies to drive development and origination. While much of Jon’s career has centered around transmission for development and marketing companies, Jon has held a variety of roles during his career stops at Bonneville Power Administration, PacifiCorp, and Avangrid Renewables (including predecessor companies PacifiCorp Power Marketing, PPM Energy, and Iberdrola Renewables), including roles in origination, trading operations and controls, as well as transmission-side roles in marketing, policy and rates. Jon holds BS degrees in Economics and Political Science from Willamette University.
