Barrett Stambler

Barrett Stambler is the co-founder of Creative Renewable Solutions LLC., a consulting firm that over the last four years has helped clean energy and transmission developers, commercial and industrial businesses, tech companies and electric utilities advance the acquisition, implementation and integration of renewable energy resources. The founders of CRS have been at the forefront of working with consumers of renewable energy to create innovative products to meet their needs for emission and carbon free electricity. Barrett has over 40 years of experience in the renewable energy business, most recently, with Avangrid Renewables and its predecessors Iberdrola Renewables, PPM Energy, and PacifiCorp Power Marketing. He also worked at Kenetech (U.S.) Windpower, Calpine, and the U.S. Department of Energy. Prior to founding this organization, Barrett oversaw Avangrid Renewables’ wind and solar sales and marketing activities across the U.S. and managed the group responsible for monitoring and advocating for fair and competitive regional market rules for renewable energy resources. Under his leadership, Avangrid Renewables installed 7000 MW of new wind and solar projects starting in 2000 and the company executed over 5000 MW of Power Purchase Agreements representing over $15 billion in cumulative revenues with C&I customers and public and private utilities. For his significant contributions, in June 2008, the American Wind Energy Association presented Barrett with a national award for Commercial Achievement in honor of creative contributions to innovative structures for renewable power sales and for the sheer volume of wind power sales over his career. Barrett holds an M.B.A. from Yale University and a B.A. in International Relations from Pomona College.
